(Denver, CO) October 2014 The Open Media Foundation will be presenting at the Colorado Nonprofit Association’s 2014 Spark Fall Conference and Exhibition which takes place October 6th and 7th at the Denver Marriott Tech Center.
Colorado Nonprofit Association’s annual Fall Conference is a learning and networking event for nonprofit staff, board members and volunteers. More than 800 people participate in the event each year, making it the biggest nonprofit conference in Colorado.
The Open Media Foundation is honored to contribute to the event by presenting Google for Nonprofits on October 6th from 8:55–10:25 am, and Livestreaming for Nonprofits will be presented from 3:30pm–5:00pm. Both workshops will take place the first day of the two day conference and are open to all event attendees. Other workshops throughout the conference will include categories on fundraising, marketing, leadership, administration, evaluation, planning, and others.
Robbie McBeath, an AmeriCorps VISTA member at OMF, shares his thoughts on the importance of the event. "This conference will be a great event for nonprofits, as there will be a number of sessions offering tools and resources that can have a powerful effect on how nonprofits operate. I'm really looking forward to being a part of informing nonprofits of the great benefits that the Google for Nonprofits program has to offer."
Both workshops will include valuable strategies for those nonprofit organizations looking to further their mission online. The Google for Nonprofits workshop will discuss the wide variety of tools offered to nonprofits through Google, such as AdWords, AdGrants, and Apps, while the Livestreaming workshop will illustrate how to use the free livestreaming tool offered to nonprofits via YouTube.
