Looking for Open.Media government video software for livestreaming city meetings and agendas?

Open Media Foundation offers $500 Film School!

The Open Media Foundation (OMF), is introducing a low-cost option for those seeking training in the world of film and video production.  The $500 Film School will allow students the chance to learn the skills increasingly in demand in the world of new media.

The $500 Film School gives students unlimited access for an entire year to a comprehensive curriculum in video and multimedia production.  These classes include field production, TV studio production, post-production and editing, graphics and animation.  Students can register and take the classes at their own pace throughout the year.

All of this is available to individuals at the incredible low price of $500 through 2015.  Denver Open Media, the public access television station operated by Open Media Foundation, makes this possible through their Equipment and Training Access Membership.  The membership also includes access to high-end video equipment and studios to produce content for the station.

“We believe everyone should have the access to the knowledge and tools necessary to create effective and compelling media,” says John Aden, Media Education Coordinator at the Open Media Foundation.  “The $500 Film School offer allows community members to learn these skills and have access to high-end equipment without going thousands of dollars into debt.”

Denver Open Media and Open Media Foundation also have a robust internship program, where students can take advantage of the experiential learning available at a community television station.
